The YWCA Monterey County has worked to build a stronger community by advocating for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all since 1972 offering the following services to domestic violence victims: the only confidential safe house in Monterey County, a 24-hour crisis line, counseling services, legal advocacy and court accompaniment, youth education and advocacy in local middle and high schools, and the 40-hour state mandated domestic violence advocate training.
